I'm looking for some performance cams for my 904.There are a few out there and I would like to hear some reviews.I was looking at TPUSA's but would like to hear if anyone has used the British Customs..

I am not really sure. They are a performance cam not stock. They are an early manufacture.I was quoted by TPUSA they could have been what were called a 513.

As the story goes BC "borrowed" the specs form the early TPUSA cams so TPUSA had to redesign.
If I remember correctly the "BC cams" are similar in profile to the 790 cams but the redesigned TPUSA cams deliver more across the board.

My facts may be wrong but I know Im pretty damn close on this. Of course no one wants to share cam specs and out of courtesy none should be posted.

I should also add one more comment to this. If you find my build thread (post 560771 is the dyno sheet) you can see how the cams "act" in the bike. Your bike is set up similar to mine with the carbs, igniter, headwork and open pipes. The difference is that you have a 904 and mine is only higher compression pistons.
The torque curve is what was most impressive to me in that it comes up to 50 ft lbs at @ 3k rpm and stays above that (max of 55 ft lbs) through redline.

according to dyno, swap from early 790 cams to 813 on 904 engine was absolutely waist of money

From everything I have seen the 790 cams are about as good as you are going to get.

Between riding my stock '04 and '09 Speedmasters (TOR's & StaInTune's, respectively), I continue to find the 790 more lively and enjoyable to ride.

The 865 is growing on me, but the 790 keeps me smiling.

So for roughly $650, one can get a set of new 790 cams from bikebandit and that's as good as the aftermarket wondercams? Methinks I would just go thataway. No wonder the profiles are a guarded secret.

Makes me really wish I could have bought my fathers 04 from him and used the cam and frame for my bike. Instead of him putting money in to rebuilding it to sell it for what he has in to it.

I would be careful ordering from the online suppliers. Bike bandit, 2wheel pros, and Triumph estore are all listing the cams as the same part number regardless of year of the bike. For example a 2002 America has the same cam part number as a 2010.

Bikebandit cams are listed as vin specific, look closer. But knowing big business, I would nail them down, that you would be be receiving a real set of 790 s. The wondercams can be had for around $650, so what is the difference.

Webb Cams internet site is upside down, darndist thing I ever saw, but thanks Fred, I hung inverted and gleaned the phone number. I bought a set of 790 cams from a member here and he didn't disclose his engine failed due to excessive desert sand in his oil. No big deal, just a hundy gone to waste. So I'll see what Webb can do for for me. Just maybe those bumpsticks can be rehabbed to spin again.

Web cams website is now right side up.
This means that you can now install their cams straight up instead of 180* out.

Of the two OEM cam sets available, the 790 s are the hottest of the two. And they are plug and play across the displacements.

Another advantage of going the 790 cam route is that you have 2 sets of cams. That would give you no down time as I have read some complaints on the rat site that the turn around time on regrinding your 865 cams can take a few months.

I got the Megacycle custom ground street cams in my 03 Speedmaster. They give a smoother mid-range acceleration but I cannot for sure say they were worth the $$$ they charged to regrind a set of my cams. You can probably buy a set for the same price.
I am in the school of thought that the 790 cams are the nuts already.
