Just thought I would put a couple of pics up and get a start on logging the changes. It currently has an OEM Summer Screen(looking to trade for a large Roadster), 19T front spocket, K&N's, AI and snorkel removed, 2up sissy bar. Original pipes cut down to right before the second baffle. 36,000 miles...hope to put 100,000 on it. Will post pics of BellaCorse Highlander Bars when the sun shines and it gets of 50 degrees.

Pretty bike! I've always loved that color.

Thanks...yeah the color is real nice. I would say that the bike is in the Medium volume category (like there really is some official data that sets the standard for this stuff...) It has a real nice tone that is suburb living acceptable at low idle, but when it opens up it gets much more masculine. The sewing machine is completely gone, and it sounds like a real bike. I'm not annoying anybody at stop lights or when I'm getting in and out of the garage, but you hear me coming and going pretty darn well. I may open up that 2nd baffle a little bit more come spring. There is a small bit of popping on decel...but its actually kind of nice.

instead of selling the summer screen you might want to check out the clearview screens that are made and fit the summer screen brackets, very nice screens, can get tinted and much taller and wider then the oem screens, not that expensive either. just a thought, nice ride though man.

Put some wind deflectors (lowers) on your forks and the Summer screen may not need be changed out. Most of the wind you feel comes from below, goes up the front of the tank and directly in your face. Lowers, when dialed in, definitely eliminates the majority of buffeting and wind push, while a larger screen does not guarantee a stand alone fix. Fast Eddy Sports is a good source for deflectors and brackets that fit our bikes, if you should decide to go in that direction.

Thanks for both of those tips. I will def look into them both.

EDM are the screens from a company called Clearview??? Got a link?

Ryk...you are always offering good advice I see. You're a good dude, don't worry - I won't tell anybody. I was declined on my offer for the dresser bars. I will let some time transpire before I counter back. But thanks.

thanks for putting that link up Tim. The light grey one is a very nice screen, i had one on my speedmaster for a couple years and loved it. I am not as tall as you are though so you will have to figure out the height you might want. The curve they place at the top of their screens really help deflect allot of wind over your head. You could not even buy the brackets from triumph for less then those screens. Anyways, just an option.

Lowers are for girls ........

Just kidding

Clearview, Gustafsson (St. Augustine, FL) and Charly Perethian (North GA) all make good screens to fit the Triumph brackets.

http://www.bikescreen.com/

http://parabellum.com/Sport-and-Touring-Shields-Triumph-C11.aspx

Charly worked for Craig Vetter (of WindJammer/QuickSilver fame) before heading out on his own. He makes a good product and has a good staff. The Speedmaster pictured on his website belongs to a member here.

Nice touches with the red battery cover, sprocket cover and pillion peg hangers.
I like the bags too. What sort are they and do they need supports?

Findley, those bags are Tour Master Cruiser II Slant XL bags. The previous owner had them on it and there are some very well done custom cobbled supports for them.

Why not use Easy Brackets? The bracket attaches to any bag, you change out the rear fender bolts for mounting posts (there is a different length for those with or without sissy bars) and then you can clip the bags on and off in seconds. I use them on the regular Triumph bags and take the bags on and off as needed. Fast eddy carries them.

I use the easy brackets with two different sets of bags and sandwich the leather inboard side between a aluminum stiffening plate and the bracket, no wiggle, wobble or flex that way. The easy brackets make your bags like removable suitcases, way better than those hokey velcro attaches that tend to come loose and the wire bolt on hangdowns..

I'd like lowers but always wondered if they would mess with the air flow on an air cooled bike. Anyone know fer sure? Luv the color.

Lowers didn't adversely affect my engine temp blasting across N Dakota on a 95 degree day at 80 mph and I have a gauge. It read 5 degrees above normal, and I think the ambient heat was the reason as it went to normal when the Sun went down.

I said I would post updates to changes...some of you guys have said how much you liked the color and I did too. But she had dings and scratches on her when I bought it in November and they didn't come from me. So I went to repaint them and the color didn't match the way I wanted it to so...I went ahead and made her the color I wanted her to be---dark cherry red metallic. I love her so much and she looks the way I always dreamed of her looking. Took 2 days to take her all apart, sand it down, 2 coats of primer (except around the swoosh on the tank-I lost count there) 4-5 coats of color and 4 coats of clear. Did I mention I love her???

Yeah its a 190 instead of the 180...its as big as it can be with no other changes. Thanks for noticing all the little details Dog. Did I mention that all that new paint was done in the garage with shaker cans??? People who see it in person can't believe it was done with shaker cans, but if you take your time, lay it on right, no one can tell. Local moto shop guys asked if I had a paint booth with spray gun and everything...not bragging, just proud of how it came out.

Thanks!!! I guess it must of helped a little bit to have grown up spending weekends and summers earning room and board at the old man's auto body shop. Although that was 32-38 years ago. I guess it's like the old saying...once u learn how to ride a bike...

I might have been sniffing the fumes a little too much when I said that the Front tire was a 190 an not 180....

It's a 120/90 not a 110/80

Like what you've done! Maybe paint the "America"side cover too?

Only one criticism, it should be Blue.
