Got her back on the road finally...why do these things take 3 times as long as you think they will....lol. Still a few things here and there left to do, but I'm pretty happy with the result. This looks great. With the new headlight, where did you put the electrics?

Very Nice! Like it all and especially the seat. Will you be putting badges on the tank? Not sure I am seeing it right, you are a Senior Chief? Again, great looking ride!

I rewired the entire bike...if you scroll through the Flickr pics you can see some of it. During the rewire I ended up removing a ton of stuff I didn't need/want. If you notice...no gauges and no dash lights...just the basics require by the po-po.

I just ordered a set of used badges from a Thunderbird Sport. They're in great shape, but I think I will paint them gloss black (or maybe a really dark grey) and paint the inside of the letters that old school cream color.
Good eye....retired ATCS.

The seat looks GREAT! That's not one of the aftermarket ones, is it? It follows the lines of the bike BETTER than ANY aftermarket low seat I've ever seen. Again,

Again,
That's a Maverick seat. Mike (if my memory serves me correctly) makes some quality stuff ! The price was right, shipping was fast, packaged very well, and a lot more comfortable than it looks. In fact, it completely eliminated the hot spot I had on my tailbone with the stock seat. Can't say enough good things about Maverick seats !!!

Absolutely! I check the forums just about everyday as part of my morning routine...lol. As you know, this is a great place to ride...too many country roads to count on both hands. Let me know when you are in the area and we'll hook up for a ride.

I've got my Tank badges on and now I'm looking for the knee pads. Last set I ordered were actually for the EFI tank...

That cover does look pretty sharp, but two issues come to mind....it would be even nicer if the fins were aligned with the GF cover and the line on the cylinders and it would be even cooler if it wasn't $300...lol.
After taking a closer look.....those fins probably are parallel to the GF and cylinders...just a bad camera angle. So now it's just the $300 that's an issue.....lol.

Can you get this stator cover in chrome as I think to have one wise with black and one side with chrome would look out of balance.
