I just registered for this site. looks to have alot of good information. I've had this bike for a little over a year. I really enjoy riding it.

thanks haha.

i just drilled a hole in the front tab of the rack and bent the back tab to the right angle to match the rear hole in the fender.

thanks for the compliments and yeah i didn't like the factory one very much so i made the yamaha v-star rack work. i work in my dad's motorcycle shop so there are always alot of parts laying around.

thanks for the compliments! I bought this bike used and this was the tank that was on it. my vin number says that the bike is an '04, so the previous owner must have put this tank on it because i don't think that my color was available in '04.

That color came out in '05. Is your motor a 790 or 865? If it's an 865 it's an '05.

BTW... if they offered that color in '04, I would have gotten it. It's a great color!

That hellcat windshield looks solid and not translucent. Is that a problem when riding?

It's not a problem at all. I'm tall enough to look over the windshield while riding.
