I'm getting the 'customized' 404 error page a lot this morning. Actually it pops up regularly... just part of the ba.com experience. And I've wondered more than once if the caricature on that page is supposed to be you, John. Because intended or not, there is a striking resemblance!

 Ya know, you're RIGHT, Keith...but then again, THANK GOD I've never seen John with his shirt off like that guy there!!!  (...oh, and yeah, I get this response all the time too...in fact, just this morning I entered a reply to Greybeard in a thread and kept gettin' this, and so I hit the "back arrow" and re-entered it two more times thinking it hadn't posted, but found later that my reply was in there a total of three times, so I had to delete two of 'em)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

BTW, I've been getting slow running and that 404 error for quite some time.

The little dude is part of the WordPress theme I'm using on the homepage. It's that theme's custom 404 page. I could hack it and change it but if/when the theme updates I would lose my changes (and/or have to remember to redo my changes after the update). Just more work. When there's an error on the forum it kicks it back to the root directory, www.bonnevilleamerica.com, where the WordPress site lives. WordPress doesn't know what to do with the forum code, all that jibberish that starts with /forums/..., so we get the 404 error page. It's all just another reason to kick my butt in gear and upgrade the software, which will probably also eliminate WordPress (and that theme) from the equation.

There is an app for both Android and iOS, but I haven't bought it yet. The forum is also Tapatalk enabled. I don't think that costs us extra, but it cost the user something.

Not! At least the first one left something to the imagination. The interim version with your mugshot had the most shall I say, personality (that's right Mr. Personality!) but this last 404 page is boring. I'm thinking with the powers you possess to change things we mortals can't even imagine, you could offer up something in the way of entertainment to an otherwise useless, unwanted and unsolicited page. Maybe an animated gif or something.

This is mostly a test post to see if I can get the error to show up again. I hacked the .htaccess file (for those of you who know what that is) with the same code I used to allow me to view the statistics page for the entire site. WordPress was effing with that too.
