OK, this about the upper oil line on the left side, from just below the valve cover to the oil cooler, the line just over the left header.

Does anyone know exactly why Triumph makes this line about an inch too long, requiring the 90 degree bend that stresses the line rather than having it about an inch shorter and the line being straight with just a little slack?

And does anyone know who might make a replacement line that's just a bit shorter?

I know what you mean. Hey, I'm not an engineer, but I wonder sometimes why they didn't put in a right angle fitting at the oil cooler so they could take out that bend. Maybe it wouldn't allow for better oil flow, I don't know.

Even the spark plug wire on that left side is a bit too long and makes a similar bend as the oil cooler line.

I don't have the answer to your question, but that line is one piece, from the banjo fitting on the cooler it goes to both cylinders. And, the left side is shorter than the right side. Who knows why they did it that way, but there probably is a reason behind it. Maybe they fit some other bike as well, so they did it to save costs....

I wish I still had access to all the fittings at my old job (hydraulics company) because I could have made things a lot cleaner when I had my performance oil cooler. this one is ok, ya just gotta be sure the fittings are aligned and tight.
