Hi Friar John.
Is there a problem with BonnevilleAmerica.com?
I get the forums no problems but when I want to go into BA.com I get "connection problem".It's been like that for a few days.

I don't have any problems getting to the main site (homepage, whatever you want to call it).

Still no connection for me.
Damm these new fangled compuutter thangs.
I will endeavour to persevere.

Yes Bryn.No good.I was able to just click on the address at the top of the forum page,
BonnevilleAmerica.com/Forums Home/ etc and bring it up but I just get "internet explorer cannot display the web page" now.
I tried "diagnose problem"and that couldn't find anything wrong.
I've sent a report in.The forums etc.are fine.

That's bizarre. I wonder if it's been flagged by your ISP as some sort of offending site. It did have a brief bout of spyware earlier this year.

I've tried clicking the top banner.Googling BA.com.etc.

I was born with the ability to "farkle" things up in ways unimaginable to the average human being.

I periodically have the same problem - I haven't tried to diagnose it deeply, but it seems like a DNS timeout - not sure what end it's on. It usually clears up a couple minutes later for me. (comcast is my isp)

I have had no issues other than the occasional 404 that I get randomly on any page.

Ok here's a thought.
I'm in Thailand now and accessing BA,com from my computer here.I got the "homepage" after logging out and logging in again.
I'm thinking I should log off here when I go back to Australia and maybe things'll be normal then.
Maybe because I was logged on from this computer it wouldn't let me get to the homepage on the same log in.
I'll check it out.

That homepage can be tough for me to access too.

Are you talking about the blog homepage or the forum homepage?

if i click bonnevilleamerica.com near the top of this forum page it freezes.

edit: it did pop in after 20 or so seconds. That page is very different from the forums - maybe it's just slow.

It's loading ok from here but in Australia I get the forums no problem, but when I click the BA.com on the banner it wont connect.

Not sure if 2 countries has anything to do with it or not but I can log on from 2 locations at the same time with no issue and have both active at the same time.

It may have something to do with the internet infrastructure in each country.

I wont be home for another 10 weeks but I'll see what's doing then.

Well there's no inherent reason why they should be different. They are on the exact same server with the same ISP. Unless for some reason WordPress is taking longer to put the pages together and it times out. It could be that the forum is less processing intensive and displays quicker. There are a lot of scripted bits and pieces involved with the WordPress site.

I don't know if the following is pertinent to the discussion here, but I've noticed for some now that when I just type in "bonnevilleamerica.com" in my PC's web address section, it takes about 5 to 10 seconds longer for the homepage to appear than it does if I go directly to the forums section by typing in "bonnevilleamerica.com/forums".

Same here. the blog takes about five to ten seconds to connect. than it's fine. If I click any links to other parts of the blog it's a five to ten second delay. No matter where I am on the site, the blog pages take another five to ten second delay. Even from one blog page to another.

The forums load right away.

Doesn't matter which browser I use. All the same.

Well folks.I'm back in Australia again.
Clicked on BonnevilleAmerica.com and up it comes,no problem.
Go figure.
