Hiya, finally got round to fitting a few bits and pices ive been buying for the bike over the last month or so. 1st - Some pannier rails, these are in fact actually for a Honda Magna from Ebay for £16 delivered, lots cheaper than the proper triumph ones and seem to do the job well enough. PIC2nd & 3rd This lovely little rack imported from the USA from Fast-Eddy (found the details on here!) and a cheap leather pannier set from ebay for about £40 (Ive only fitted one so far) with a decal, again bought from ebay. PIC1 Finally a 2nd hand screen for £48, not sure thats ive actually fitted it properly, asit seems to sit quite hight above the headlight, but itll do for now. PIC2 Next to come are some TOR pipes ive got in the garage once I've bought some bigger jets & an air eliminaion kit. cheers! Simon

Sorry about the pic size, I did try and use the 'image'code but when i previewed the post the pics didnt show just the code/url?
As regards the cable ties, ive given the bike a quick ride up to 70mph and they seem to have held, but I should try and find a stronger solution (suggestions welcome!), its just the leather thongs that came with the bags look gash and as they are so thick I cant see the knots holding use them.

It may have been manufactured in '01, but it's an '02.

We've been over this with Greggorz. It sounds like they went by manufacture date in the UK when registering them. Mine was built in 2001, too, but it's a 2002 "model year."

I've never quite bought the distinction of 'model year'. For me when buying 2nd hand cars/bikes, if it was originaly sold in 2001, then in 2011 its 10 years old. But maybe thats me being pedantic. I'm guessing from this that my bike is perhaps one of the earliest ones then?.

Everything is sold starting in the Fall before it's "model year." Heck, this August they'll be pimping out the new 2012 Chevrolets.

The bike is lookin' good there, Simon! Nice touches!  Btw, here's the Wiki page for the history and definition of the term "Model Year". I found it somewhat interesting reading, myself.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_year
