Just to start off, you will need to have your picture loaded on the internet somewhere (Flickr, Photobucket, FaceBook, Your Web Site, or elsewhere online). You will not be able to add pictures to your post if they are only on your computer!

1 Get the URL of your picture. (Everything on the internet has a URL or address). You want the address of the picture NOT the address of the web page that the picture is on

If you are using Photo Bucket or Flickr, there is usually a field on the page with the address of the picture.

If you are using FireFox for your browser, right-click on the picture and click on "Copy Image Location"

If you are using Internet Explorer, right-click on the picture and click on "Properties"

Highlight and copy the the entire address.

Pictures must end with .jpg, .gif or .png otherwise they will not post

2. Create a new post or reply to someone else's post.

3. Click on the "Image" link in the "Instant UBB Code" box.

4. Paste the address of the image into the pop-up window. Then click on OK.

It should look something like this in the message box:

That's it. Piece of cake!

A couple of tips...
Make sure you have the address (url) of the picture, not the page.
Make sure the urlof the picture ends with .jpg, .gif or .png.
Make sure there are no spaces between the image tags and the url of the picture.

A few sites add "parameters" on the end of picture URLs. As Soren said, make sure it ends in a photo format file extension (jpg, gif or png).

I do not use facebook, twitter or any online things. I only have the pictures of my bike on my computer. I have no idea how to put this on the web. I do not want to use any social net works. Any help for someone who is no too computer literate?

You have to have your photos stored online somewhere. Maybe something here will help.

Hey, Skip. Welcome to the forum! As Soren said, you need to get your pictures up on the internet somewhere. There are free sites that allow for uploading from your computer. Many of us use flickr.com or photobucket.com. Once you've uploaded from your computer you then use the instructions above to 'link' to your pics.

Hey, Skip... just so you know, that link you have in your signature wont work because it points to a location on your hard drive. It needs to be an internet link to work here.

Thanks. I found that out. I have pictures on flickr. I can add the picture address. But I would like to add the actual picture to my profile and any postings I might make. Can you help me out?
