This information may be news to some of you, so I thought I'd pass it along. I spoke with Jason at TB today and learned that the performance of the TB pipes on the 2005 model year (900cc) SM is somewhat reduced in the upper rpm band. TB has investigated this and concluded that the new conservative cam in the '05 is responsible; further tweaks on the exhaust side come at diminished return. Performance in the lower rpm range is comparable to, or better, than the previous generation engines.

Jason also said that yes indeed, no re-jetting is needed for the install as long as you don't mess with stock intake system. TB has jetted around the pipes and nothing seems to work as well as the stock jets. Also, he said the Unifilter didn't contribute much of anything to performance on their dyno.
