Hi all.

I picked up a Yuasa Hot Shot charger today at my local dealer.

My silly question has to do with the quick connect wire (with the ring terminals). Would I hook it straight up to the battery or is there a bus bar I would connect this wire to?

Thanks for giving this noob a clue.

I can't imagine the hook-up for you charger is any different than my Battery Tender. It connects directly to the battery terminals. Oh, and I don't want to sound like a woman speaking to a man, but, Did it have any directions?

Diections? What are those?

Yeah, it came with them...in three different languages...and no pictures!

I wasn't sure if the SM maybe had somewhere special to connect the lugs to.

The easy way is to put a "BMW" style, male plug on the charger and install an accessory plug on your bike and it is then a simple plug in to charge. You then have the accessory socket to use with electric clothing, phones, a GPS or whatever you wish to use.

Better yet, go to the local truckstop and get a standard lighter socket. That way, more stuff will plug in.

I hooked my pigtails up to the battery posts then routed the wires up and over the top of the air box and down under the right side cover. I keep it tucked in there behind some other wires. When I need to attach the battery tender I just pop off the right side cover and there it is.

Great idea, Tony. Thanks. I just received my AI removal kit, so while I have everything off I'll wire her up.
