It is still a gif... maybe the board doesn't 'play' animated gifs when used in the avatar field. I've seen that on other forums.

Actually it looks like it saved just one frame of the gif.

I didn't realize it was an animated GIF. The tool I used to reduce it probably flattened it. I'll have to do it in Photoshop or take it to work and use Fireworks.

Did you create it? If you resize it down to 100pixels wide I won't have to do anything to it (I did make it taller and filled in the red, so that it's a square 100 pixels).

I could. But that would cost extra. All I did to his avatar was resize it using the proper program, to preserve the animation work he did.

Besides, wouldn't you rather be original?
