Well, not exactly a tech thing, but something I believe is worth sharing anyway:
I got fed up with the squashed bug parts and -juice that always found their way to under the windshield chrome strips. At least on my Roadster/Clearview shield the chrome strips didn't lie all flat to the screen itself. Now I ended up attaching a >1mm flat rubber band on the entire inside of the chrome strips (attached with double-sided tape) and it turned out quite well. I don't think even a mosqito toe can find it's way under there anymore.
Cleaning the windshield will now be a breeze. Pics later...
