Some of you may remember Uncle Charlie. I have been following his slot car racing page on FB for years. One of his family just posted that they lost him in the last couple days.

I met him at my first GA rally about 15 years ago. I remember having some good conversations ... cool guy. He’s going to be missed.

I was just thinking about him a couple days ago. I met him at his house a few years ago when he hosted a get together. He was a nice guy and I enjoyed talking to him. Sad day, was he sick? I often wondered why I hadn't seen him here at all.

Very sad to hear he's passed away, Went to his slot car business here in Wilkesboro once after moving to Wilkesboro N.C. almost three years ago. Went over there a few months ago to see him but the shop's doors were closed due to Covid 19.
He was battling against either a bad liver or kidneys if i remember correctly, and he went for Dialysis back then, my late wife was going through similar issues. I may be wrong so please don't take this as Gospel truth.

RIP Charlie.
