Hundreds of films, tv films and tv series.
F/X2, Cocoon, First Blood.
Just looking on Wikipedia, his first tv role looked like it was in Kojak in 1977.
I loved that show as a 10yr old.
Dallas, Knots Landing and Dynasty, Lou Grant, Mash, Cagney & Lacy - he was everywhere.
He always struck me that his good guys could've been bad guys too. He had that look I thought.

I was always a fan, and we saw him of Broadway a couple of times. He'll be missed. RIP Brian Dennehy.

I always felt that if his name was listed as one of the actors I would probably like the show.

I always liked his acting .He played a good villan in "Silverado"
And a sargent in a Vietnam war movie I can't remember the name of was good acting too,
I did hear he claimed to be a Vietnam Vet when apparently he wasn't and had to make an apology
But he was agood actor
