I have a 07 Speedmaster. No spark. Individual coil resistance is 1.4 ohms (Disconnected). Replaced pick up coil in right side reads .605 . Checked all wires and sidestand switch. Replaced battery. Have power to coils and CDI box. Grounds are good. thinking CDI bad? First fail in 61000 mi. Help or ideas on what else I can check?

Checked it out. Sounds pretty good. Might have to do the safe start too.

I'm pretty sure the engine case had been improved by '07 reducing the need for the safe start. When my igniter failed it only failed on one side so it was easier to diagnose.

I have only seen the CDI fail on one side, I have never seen it fail all together. I am not sayinmg it can't happen just seems it normally doesn't.

My CDI failed on both sides. Replaced it with a used unit from e-bay (part #'s were matching). Runs fine now. Going to save up for a TTP unit and coils. Thanks for everyones help and ideas.

05 was the year they changed to a stronger setup....you can tell by looking on the back of your engine breather pipe..if it's housed in a box like lump it's the new setup...if the pipe exits direct out the back of the case, it's the old.

Now where the ****** am I?
