Found out today that I am able to attend! Made reservations for the 9th and 10th. Bringing the wife along this year. Her name is Jenny, same as my speedy. Will be heading up toward Eureka Springs about lunch time Friday, maybe we can catch up to the group in Oark.

I think that's it for the rooms. Charlie and Yota are SOL.

Paul, let me know if Charlie and Yota need a room. They can have our reservation, and the wife and I will get a room near by.

Don't worry about it Kent. I mentioned at the first, there were only 6 rooms available. You never know the people that have the other two could cancel.

that's true, there may be a chance of rain and it could scare some people away

Is there anyone who cannot burn 87 octane? Fuel stops are rare along the route and even more rare if you can't use 87. Can carry a bottle of Octane boost if needed to allow burning a bit of the 87. Just buy the minimum to get back to civilization.

Haven't checked the forum in a while. My Vic is supposed to run on higher octane than 87. Not recommended for me but I can go about 180 before I'm freaking out. However, if it's only once and mixed in with some higher octane already in the tank, it should be fine. Once won't hurt, right?
It's getting close, boys. The weather this morning was 45 degrees and the first thing that popped in my mind when I stepped outside was, "This is Ark rally weather!"
Can't wait anymore...

Chris get some of this stuff and put in your pack. It would be worth the $5.99. I may get some myself even though my bike runs on 87 octane. It also takes out any water that is sometimes found in cheap gas.

Yes this weekend had been nice in the low to mid 70's. can't wait to see the "gang".

I have switched up the route a bit. Supposedly the Deer Country Store in downtown Deer, AR has higher grades of gasoline. And if it comes down to it we can go past Hwy 23 a bit and find gasoline about six miles further up the road. Oark Country store has 87 octane pure gasoline so that should help. I double checked my spare gas can and have a 1 gallon can of 91 octane pure gasoline that I carry so we should all be able to make it.

Gasoline issue is one reason that this route isn't run that often since it is near a 100 mile run without many amenities. Ie, pure country crooked roads.

Well as my GPS is always saying "recalculating". I rode down to HWY 23 and the slide area today and it will not be passable in time for the rally. Have recalculated the route. We will just do some of it backward from the original route.

Got my Triumph saddlebags put on Saturday and fresh oil a couple of weeks ago. Ready to roll. Stephen backed out to go to a Def Leppard/Foreigner concert Friday night. Kids today, I must have raised him wrong.

Jennifer is a sweet lady, especially to put up with all our BS. She fit right in. It made my Saturday night when she gave me a Fuzzy navel wine cooler at the firepit.
