That's too bad Rich, maybe next year though.

I talked to the owner at Kinderhook, there are still 10 rooms left to rent that weekend, but could fill at any time.

Well, since it looks like the lodge is all booked up, I'm looking at prices for a separate room. Still waiting for a reply on rates and availability.

Yes, Scott and a discussed it, the plan so far is to collect anyone from farther north and east to my place then ride south to pick up mike57 then head ( by circuitous route) to Savanna, IL. We will meet up with kaisersoze and his crew at Poopies. Have lunch and cross the river. Then south down 61.
Anyone wanting to go along, let me know.

at this point, I'm hoping that Chris and I have a day to get up there and do some pre-rally route planning... if not, we'll be shooting from the hip all weekend

Yeah that sounds good. Could he do mechanic type shirts again? Or was that too much hassle?

I'd be in on a work shirt too but whatever is easiest or the popular vote. Dave, I was thinking today about when we could get out for some scouting of that area. Tues all day or Thurs afternoon. After the 22nd, it's whenever.

Check it out guys, I need some more commitments from people that plan on staying at the lodge, or else the price is going to have to go up per person. Scott, you have a couple buddies that plan on coming still, yes? If I get a solid head count of lodge guests, I can nail down a final cost.
And as far as shirts, I haven't said yes or no to eddy, but I'm running out of time. A few here and a few on facebook, should I just tell him a number and if nobody speaks up in time you just don't get one?
Help me out guys, I have no rally planning experience and am just winging it here!

Dave, I don't have a solid yes from anyone else yet. I'll let you know for sure asap.

For the shirts, I used to start a separate thread that people could post whether or not they wanted a shirt or not. Talk to Eddy to see about a deadline, and whoever doesn't speak up may not get one. Eddy sometimes ends up bringing a couple of extras anyway, but no gaurantees. He probably has the pins that we did last year as well.

If you need any advice/help whatever, feel free to give me a call or text.

Shirts are not an issue for me. If you have them, I will take a medium. If you do not have them, I will drink more beer.

Come on Dave Dude, gives us the route. 96 in ILL or 61 in Mo?

neither, and both states. something like 79 south out of Hannibal, all the way down to near O'Fallon, take a couple ferries to Pere Marquette State Park for lunch and back up the Ill side to Kinderhook

Every year I watch this River Road Rally thread & every year I am reminded of the years 1976-79, when I lived in Mineral Point, Wisc and rode sections of that road on the '76 T140 Enjoy and have a spirited/safe ride

I won't be able to come this time. Cancel me out and maybe someone else can take my place. My apologies for the short
notice.
Thanks,

Looking at the weather guessers forecast through Monday there is a lot of rain. I hope it dries up or it will be a wet ride down there.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

After a decade of fence sitting, Iàm in. It`s really not that far
and it`s not likely to rain the whole trip. See you Thursday night.

I don't know the area to great and there's not a lot of great motorcycle roads nearby but for the unplanned ride(Friday, i think) how bout something like:
Ride out south on T/Whittaker Ln
Take V west
Then cut up Bus 61 to A west
Cut up Missouri J to Sheil
Sheil east to DD for 25 feet onto Hunnington east back into Hannibal. Check it out, Dave and see what you think. Others with input...now is the time.
Not sure how long of a ride we want to do????????????

Maybe this shouldn't be a riding rally and morph into a drinking rally.
