It's the best weather we've had for quite awhile so I thought I'd take a run today.I had a 70km run on Monday but it was still pretty chilly.Anyway, just as I got going out of town the throttle cable snapped.Luckily it happened about 4 km from the local bike shop. They came and picked me and the bike up took it back to the shop.
The bad news is it's $135 for the throttle cables and it's coming from Melbourne, plus $15 express freight which still means it'll be the weekend [when the weather forecast is for rain again ],before it's fixed

Triumphs discrimanation pricing of parts to Aussies strikes again. I feel for you Paul. At least you weren't stuck in the whoop whoops.

they couldn't just put a new cable in the casing and attach new barrel ends? that happened to me before and I had a dealer do that for about 10 bucks

that's the problem with shops anymore, no mechanics just part changers
