I will be going Paul. Glad I can still get some love after being absent for awhile . Is Donny REALLY bringing an Indian? That would be sweet.

So work shouldn't be an issue this year. I've got my first year in there and I know how to 'work' the system to get my days off without causing issues.

I'll be watching this thread fellas and I'll see you in October.

That's great to hear, Chris! We missed you last year. Naw, I don't think Donny is going to bite the bullet for an Indian this year. He's waiting for the two tone paint scheme to come out and make sure the bugs are all out.

I believe the 2007 Maroon speedmaster in my garage attended the Arkansas rally once. Anybody remember Dale Landry from Billings, MT?

When I purchased Dale's 07 speedmaster in 2011(?) he had resigned from his career, was in the process of selling his house, most furnishings, car, Triumph and moving to overseas to Kosovo on a church related mission. Seemed like a nice guy. Maybe meeting Yota caused him to see the light

What about this place? And if someone wanted to bring their fiancee, they could get married onsite.

I think a place like that may tire of us quickly, especially every morning at breakfast

I'm going to call them in the morning and see if they ever have biker groups. The cabins look really nice and the rates aren't too bad. And who knows I might meet some old biker chick between now and October you all could be in my wedding. No offense Donny but the Shangri-La cabins look like a pee hole and I don't trust anyone since Y city.

I dunno, Mel did not get tired of us last year. Sure her daughter got a little frightened, but, well... I think Yota and Charlie were maybe in rare form that morning.

I can think of only 2 places in my life I've encountered as bad as Y city. One when I was a 20 year old basic trainee near Ft. Dix New Jersey. It was our first weekend pass. Me and a guy went to this flop house type hotel where they rented by the hour. It was so bad we went back to base. The second was a few years later in Galveston, Tx. on my way to Fl. The flea bites on my legs went clear up to my knees. At least Y city didn't have fleas.

Naturally, Hot Springs gets my vote. It's also about five degrees warmer than North Arkansas. Now if the weather would stay dry during the given dates. Due to work, I'll be able to ride in the evening or hang out. You know, put faces on forum names. Lord willing and the creek don't rise, my America will be running reliably by then. It has only been ridden 2k in the last two years. It's in the shop now and hopefully the electrical gremlins will be solved.

If you like Y city I wonder if ya ever took up residence in a burned out old house for a while.

I have a fifth wheel camper down there. If its not sold by then I may stay in it. I've got maybe half a dozen places I can stay around the area so I am not worried about that much. If some one is a bit tight on cash let me know I may be able to help a brother out. Depending on if it bothers ya to stay with strangers. I have friends and family around there.
I know I know but yes. I do have friends.....you may actually be surprised at how many friends I have.

Not me. I've been divorced about 12 years. Once was actually enough for me. I enjoy my freedom and at times I can be an a#$ and hard to live with.

Okay the Knotty and Nice cabins are out. They are geared towards couples. The lady asked if we were rowdy and fought. I told her we were not a biker gang. lol

This place sounds a lot better. I talked to Karen and she said they like bikers. They could probably put us down on one end if we needed about 4-5 cabins. The rates go down after Sept. 30th. She said she could put more beds in the cabin and it's $15 more for each person more than 2. It's about 15 minutes from Hot Springs. She said it's pretty open now but will start to fill up closer to October. So what do ya think?

Looks like they sleep 3 to start with 4 if two are pretty cozy with each other.

Or if we manage to hook Paul up with a "biker chick" for the weekend or a night one of those master beds will do just fine .

Where approximately are you Eddie?

you could actually vet any ideas to help make the best of it if you are a Hot Springs local.

Actually I like the house there. John, my wife's dad died one year ago today; in that curve there just past Edgewood headed out of town.

Its kind of fortuitous , that very location was posted today

412 Central Ave. Across the street from the Quapaw Bath House. I commute from Little Rock. Other than downtown, knowledge of Hot Springs is limited.

I think it is about an even dozen. Not counting the Triumph dealer here. He said he would come and sponsor us. We are not on the best terms right now though since I dropped one of his Trophy's on a test ride and had to get my insurance carrier involved..

Maybe we can check him out if it's on the way back from the strip bar.

Donny, Yota and Charlie are thinking about going down next weekend. You guys need to check out the Shady Oak cabins for us and do a little scouting on some rides. Please.
