I got my tires from American Motorcycle Tire Co. today. Ordered them week ago Friday. Tire and four tubes. Used Paypal, but the experience was a little unsettling. After I ordered, I never got an e-mail from them or an online reciept. I DID get an e-mail from E-Bay saying that the money had been delivered to them. A couple of days went by, and no communication from the tire co., so I was getting a little nervous. After three days, I tried getting in touch with them, but, their E-mail site wouldn't work. Then, I tried the co. phone number listed, and got an insurance adjuster recording. So now I was getting worried. Then, on the third day, FedEx sent me an E-Mail saying that they had recieved the package from the tire co. and they were in transit.
Here's the summary. I got a great price on the tire ($142 for a Michelin Commander 2) Tube prices were ok. BUT, I was really nervous about no communication from them. I couldn't contact them to verify. I ALMOST filed a claim from E-Bay. I've never had this kind of experience before. I guess I'd buy product from them again, cause the price was good, but just wanted to give some report on here for the fella's.

Sounds like a mail order business someone runs on the side and apart from other daily duties. You get so many notices (usually) from EBay and the seller from a transaction, that I think alarm bells would be going off in my head too. Glad it worked out.

I've done business with them a time or two before before. I can't rightly remember the details at the moment cause I've had a few and its actually rather late in the day, but I think it all worked out pretty well. In fact Im still running the same MCR2 on the rear as I bought from them about a year ago and still in great shape as well.

A while back someone was praising Myers Triumph/Ducati in Asheville. I mentioned I'd had different experiences. Yesterday I was pricing some Avon Roadriders for Ruthie's Bonney.

The first place asked $108 unmounted, the next $106 unmounted, Myers wanted $163 unmounted.

I bought them on Amazon for $104 delivered.

I order from American Motorcycle Tire direct from their site. I've purchaced over a dozen tires from them and their customer service was great as were their confirmation emails. This does sound like a side business someone is running on the using AMT's name, (perhaps an employee). I buy all my tires from AMT. They never take more than 2 days to get from MD to my house in MA, and their prices can't be beat in my experience.

Hmmm, that is weird. I had just the opposite experience. I used their online site. I don't understand it.

I've bought a couple of tires from Motorcycle-superstore and have been very pleased with them. Prices are good from what I've seen.

Rich, PM me the link you used to order yer tires. I just want to verify it's the correct source as Paul suggested it may not be. Like I've said I've used them in the past and had no problems what so ever.
