Another cold front is coming through from the north. Freezing temperatures and threat of snow.
Here is a suggestion for you lot in Canada; with all this hupla about polar melting etc. etc. why not start deporting the cold weather farther north instead of south?

Snow this morning in Des Moines. After 85 plus on Monday.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago. Edgar Allan Poe

But that's Houston. It's SUPPOSED to be miserable!

The wife and I had planned on jumping on the BA and riding up Oak Creek Canyon today...

...but the wind has been gusting to something like 50mph all day today here in Sedona, so that was put on hold.

Thanks for that Dwight. We need the webmaster to install a middle finger icon.

Snowing in Kansas City, expecting 3 to 5 inches. I'm hoping the young fox on the local Fox is mistaken.

I dunno bout the rest a you guys & gals, but I wanna ride. My SW trip is just 2 weeks away & if the weather doesn't change for the warmer I'm gonna be SOL to make to my daily destinations for the first 4 legs of the trip out to CA. Not to mention out the $$$ for the hotel reservations & late to my Dad's place in CA to celebrate his 80th trip round the sun on this big dirt ball!

Okay...in worked @ Woodstock......everybody chant...NO MORE SNOW, NO MORE SNOW, NO MORE SNOW......

Yeah, it's been in the '80's all week, but hasn't stopped rainin' for four days now, and won't stop tomorrow either.

Then spotted "Love Bugs" on the Turnpike yesterday.

The ride out of town Monday may be he11.

And you may see me tonight With an illegal smile J. Prine

Was checking the radar yesteray and saw pink over the midwest in a thin line. Selected a city in Iowa, and yes it was snowing. Geez.

That said just got off a ride up to Moody Hollow GA. Rode 250 miles in the rain coming home. only rode 30 miles in the rain going up. Beautiful day one week ago yesterday.

I picked up some friends today (May 3) at the Des Moines airport returning from a week in Florida. They walked out of the terminal in shorts and short sleeve shirts to quite a surprise. It seems I forgot to tell them about the change in weather when they called Thursday and they did not check the Des Moines local weather all the week they were in Florida. It just slipped my mind some how. That's my senior excuse and I am sticking by it!

Bluto

P.S. That should teach them not to go away to someplace warm in May leaving us poor folks here to freeze and suffer.

Nice area to ride rain or shine. Done both, but I still prefer shine (double entendre intended).
