The Horse Back Street Choppers.

But, I just flipped through the last year of issues, and couldn't find the artical.

In a nut shell, they say whether you use a 9/16", 5/8", or other master cylinder bore is directly related to the size and number of pistons in your caliper(s).

You'll be very happy with that upgrade. Be careful not to lock the front. It's easy to do. Don't ask me how I know.

Did you lock up in a panic, on gravel, in the wet or under normal conditions?
When I upgraded to a 6pot Beringer I also had to upgrade my master cylinder. The R3 was the same (visually) as OEM but had a larger hole. I wonder if these 3 pots require less or more fluid that our OEMs?

It was normal conditions, so it was panic, but not a huge death grip either, just more than usual.

The master cylinder is stock and has ample capacity. Remember that Speedys run two twin pots off that master cylinder and I'm only running three on my America.

Thought I would resurrect this old thread.
Grzegorz, you still around?

Can anyone supply the Nissin part # needed for the three pot caliper upgrade?
I've read the Nissin from a 06-09 CBF1000 fits but wondered if anyone has the part numbers from their upgrade?
Needs to be compatible with the 2003 America which is a non non ABS bike.
Does it matter if the Nissin is an ABS caliper?

After more research I found these two Nissin numbers. 45100 and 45150. Anyone know if either of these are correct?

I have an internet acquaintance I've traded parts with who incidentally lives in Austria and he swears a 2011-2019 Honda Hornet CBR600F front caliper is a plug and play brake upgrade for our bikes. That's a dual disc setup so one for an America and both for a Speedy. As I haven't actually tried this, do your research before you commit your money.
