I was tempted to send him a message asking if me, a non-"harley rider", could still buy the helmet if I threw in an extra 20 bucks.

Didn't ya see the part in that ad where they said for no additional charge they'd throw in an old football helmet just like THIS into the deal?.... I think it's great that Bell is back in the motorcycle helmet business again. They sure have a great selection of 'em presently on the market.
