Interesting, but who wrote the piece at the bottom of the link?  "After an intense development and testing phase presents the current Triumph Sympatex Motorcycle Jacket "Light". For motorcyclists, it is just to be in the darker seasons recognized the importance of well. Developed by Triumph "Light Jacket" has its own, from a battery-powered lamps. Increase in the external material clear the built-in LED night visibility for other road users"

I find it hard to believe that the lights on the front are a good idea. Wouldn't they be bouncing back into your own eyes?

Someone already makes a gadget to put brake lights on the back of a helmet. Can't remember who makes it.

My guess, that is a computer translation into English of another language. Not sure I'm wild about battery powered lights. Especially with all the reflective materials available, keep it simple and functional.

Uhmmmm i am a gonna pass on those suckers.....i like lights but those are a bit much, unless of course you are riding in the bush, then maybe i could see a benefit with them.... and the rear ones, well ya never know when a moose might want to pass or something :-)

As you may know, I manufacture waterproof seat covers for bikes. Ride in the rain to test all the time. I have the Triumph Explorer kit (Sympetex) and I'm always 100% dry.
I use Frogg Toggs to carry in the bags when it looks "iffy" and I'm not in the Sympetex.
Both work a treat, as they say.

Well it looks good without the lights. And it appears to be really inexpensive. Only 500 bucks. 250 for the jacket and 250 for 6 led lights.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

OMG!!!! I cop enough flak with my stereo system without going down this track but having said that the pollies here in some states are hell bent on having us all wear high viz orange or yellow vests. The day that I see 50 Hells Angels tearing down the road with these on will be the time to start looking for some serious drugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of the Triumph dealers are clearing out some nice leather jackets. I just picked one up locally from Bucks for $99! It retailed in Spring for over $400.

In Virginia no external lights allowed on a vehicle unless they are DOT approved and labeled as such. That includes all of the LED engine lights on motorcycles, when the bike comes in for annual safety inspection they get rejected. So owners remove them to get an inspection sticker then re-install them...then it's up to the cops to stop and ticket them on the road.

Over here, a shop that still has 2005 (the year) jackets for sale puts the price higher!
It's now a vintage and very few left that are looking like new, hence the premium.
