Nor, a good country!

In remembrance of all those good men, women and children we lost ten years ago today, September 11, 2001

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Never forget the one's that gave all.
I'm sure many have stories to tell, here's mine.
My wife worked in elementary education for many years. One of her good friends son Patrick Lenoir was a stock trader in the towers. After the crash into the north tower he called his father, like all of us he was watching the news. They discussed what was happening and what to do.
Pat told his dad they had been instructed to remain calm and the situation was under control. Mr Lenoir was telling Pat he though he should leave the south tower, they were talking on the phone when the second plane hit..........

An oak tree was planted in his remembrance at Belle Morris Elementary School in Knoxville.
A couple of years ago a bone fragment was positively identified as Patrick Lenoir. As I type this rambling message tears are flowing.
RIP Pat, we will always remember your smiling face

Well put, Dwight.

I don't know if this in good taste or belongs in a thread of remembrance of brave and lost Americans, but the one who planned 9/11 is at the bottom of sea.

God Bless all the survivors and those who lost love ones and most importantly the USA!

Salute!

I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago. Edgar Allan Poe

+1

And also, many thanks, Dwight. I was up at dawn to raise my flag this morning. God bless us all who cherish our freedom and individuality too.
