I got this from a Trophy forum I'm on. From one of the members when talking about an America... "I rode one, but could not get used to the cruiser legs-out-front position. Hated all twenty minutes." I'm not sure why, but it just struck my funny bone!
Live to love, love to live.

Actually Keith, after I purchased my BA back in late '01, it also took me some time to get used to throwin' my feet forward to those pegs up there.
Could be the reason a couple of years later I made those brackets where I can put my feet under me.
(...and eventually I have a feelin' I'll move my controls to those pegs, too)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

kind of like when I jump on a standard style bike, when I first take off, my feet go forward and hit nothing but air... takes a couple stops to change the habit

My wife has a VFR. Great bike but it might as well be a can opener the way I fit on it.

Still the one thing I would change, if it wasn't so much trouble. I've gotten used to it, but it's only ok.

I sat on a sport bike once, didn't like it. In only 20 seconds I got a leg cramp.

When I first rode my Speedmistress I hated it , it was such a different riding position compared to my BMW K100 I had been riding for 4 years. Wider bars and running boards that made me feel a bit vunerable and gorky but after a couple of weeks I got used to it and I had decided to go the cruiser style and slow down a bit which I have done.

No kidding! That's a pretty big jump in the other direction, what made you switch? Or do you still have the S3?

I can go back and forth with either the Speedmaster or the Trophy, no problem. The Trophy is setup better for long distances though.

I realized i wasnt 20 anymore and theres things that shouldnt be done on one wheel . I rode that 955i for almost 9 years with-out a single incident until a gust of wind almost blew me off . Nope the bike is gone I traded it in for the America
