Riding home from work tonight after a brief rain the roads are wet ,Im in the right lane of a four lane road and the cars in front of me start jambing on breaks and sliding all over place and I know theres no stopping in time I am always looking for and exit to just this kind of situation .
I tap the rear break down shift and see my exit between a curb and a car thats sideways (which was about 2 feet wide) I ride about 20 feet next to the curb and cars and get up on the side walk stop the bike and just sit there for a min and was thinking HOLY SH!T !!!! I made it .
The cop that was there at the accident came up to me and asked if I was ok and how did I avoid this mess after picking the seat out I turned to him and said I am a bike rider , I knew what to and what not to do .

I cried because I could wheelie then I met someone without a motorcycle

Wow! Good to hear you came out unscathed! Perhaps the lesson for us all from this is to plan ahead, just in case... or in-other-words, pay attention!!

Again... glad you're okay!

Yeah, well, MY guess as to Scott's happy outcome here is that he must have had a "Zen Moment" just before this all took place!!!

(...in fact, maybe you can identify with that, eh Keith?!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Great to hear you're ok. Not stealing from your moment, but a few years ago I had a close one on the way to work.Really close. When I got off the bike I was kinda shakey.

Oh yeah, I can identify alright. It's pretty much what we transcendental types call "being here and now." And it works in all kinds of situations. As the wonderful and great Van Morrison put it in his song, 'Enlightenment'.... WAKE UP!
