The MSRP's have just been announced and personally I think they are WAAAAY too high

$12,999.00 Black, Silver, Blue, Dark Red

$13,499.00 Matte Silver, black rims

$13,999.00 Black with ABS brakes

YEAH, Sheridan! ESPECIALLY considering the fact that for "just" 30 or 40 Grand MORE one could purchase a "really neat" "Theme Chopper" that could resemble somethin' like a FIRE TRUCK or maybe EVEN an Apache Attack HELICOPTER, which those fellas in NEW YORK seem to make sooooooooo "well", HUH???!!!

Yesterday I bumped into a guy I work with occasionally on the PA Tunrpike. He just bought a silver Fury and so far, loves it. He had a Road King, sold that for the bike Kawasaki cruiser (can't remember that model), which he still has. He wanted to take me to his house to look at it, but I didn't have time. He said it rides and sounds great. No mark up from the dealer, $129XX. I was in FL last week and even with all those bikes on the road, I've yet to see one in person.

eyeballed one at my local shop last week, interesting concept. the concept sketches are right on the money, the live pic. must be a test bed unit. While interesting to look at, the gravitational pull of the Triumph line pulled me away.

Reminds me of a story from 35 years ago. I was a caretaker at a horse farm owned by the Breck hair care folks. Another caretaker's 90 year old father was there one day. His son said "Look Pa, that horse over there is worth $60,000. The old timer scratched his boot in the dirt, then spit in the hole he had made with his boot toe and said:
"Not to me it ain't."

I'm lusting after the Fury, and I have a quote request in at the local stealer for one in metallic red. Between the T-Bird and the Fury, the Fury wins the style contest hands down IMHO, but how does it ride is the real test.

I wonder if the review for the Fury will be as good as the Thunderbird???? The TBird is impressive. Note the video clip after the advertising.

I went by the local Honayamkawauki dealer today.
The Fury was there in all it's glory. With the plastic air filter cover, plastic cam cover thingy, etc. I looked it over, sat on it.
My response.....nope!

Someone mentioned that today - lots of plastic. Ugh. I hate our plastic bits, can't imagine engine pieces in the stuff (or what they would look like after a few years).

+1! (like my '80 GS850G,60K+ and nothin's EVER broke!

I had a 350SL for a short while. It was harder to keep that thing going than my old '49 650 and nothing on it, including the pipes was standard size so I had to buy overpriced factory parts.

Well Greg, I seriously doubt that if those very same road-testers would take the Fury to those very same spanish backroads where they tested the T-bird in that video, that they'd give the Fury as big a thumbs up in their report about how well it handled was as they did to the T-bird!

However, I'll betcha if their Fury ride review ONLY encompassed, say, a short jaunt from Pub-A to Pub-B on a reasonably straight road, that IT would be a rave, alright!!!

(does that answer your question, my friend?)

Funny... same thing happened to me today. Looks neat in pictures. Somehow, it doesn't hold up when you're sitting on it.

i have to agree.after sitting on one at the dealership, and seeing it parked next to a raider and a warrior, both of which are closely priced to the fury,i couldn't help but think that whoever buys a fury was getting ripped off.honda really screwed this one up

I have to admit, I think the bike "looks" great from 10' away. I sat on it and thought no worse than my Speedy, although it feels a LOT lower. My wife fell in love with it, so who knows? I told her I'll trade for a Tbird, and she can save up for a Fury. I say ride your own.............

Take a look at the Thunderbird! I was pretty impressed, it is all steel except for the two side covers below the seat. Fenders, Turn signals, dash, and everything else is all metal. They did not skimp on the new Thunderbird. Definitely worth checking out. I would like to take one for a ride. I still want a Rocket III but I have not ridden a Thunderbird yet. Problem is I won't part with my America

The Yamaha Raider is so much bike it will out power and out corner most anything that is a cruiser. The Fury has appeal, but power is lacking.

If Triumph would put out a chopper with either the America or Speedmaster motor, I believe they would be a big hit. If I had the time, I would build one. But, I would rather buy one and ride.

I just got inside word from Honda Australia that the Fury will be on sale down here from either late 2009 or early 2010 (date not yet confirmed).

It will be interesting to see what the uptake on something like this is down here, given we have very few Choppers on the road at all.
