I always found the hardest thing to get used to on the Four Cylinders is how buzzy they feel. Like all bikes they all have their own characteristics. Once you get used to it i bet you start to enjoy it. Admittedly it feels different to a Triumph twin, but after a few days and a few more miles i bet you will be zinging that thing up to the red zone.
I often miss the thrill of hitting the power band on a multi cylinder jap bike. Stick with it, it will get better.
