Bikes from 14 states (maybe more) 3 countries. All decended on Northeast NY. Man what a showing!! We had Americas we had speedmasters there was a Daytona ,T100,a Thunderbird Sport,Yamaha,Honda,and even a couple of Harleys. All where welcome at Pats. There where first timer, Rally veterans,Lurkers and regulars. There where campers, hotel dwellers and people sleeping on Pats couch.
Once you arrived at the event you where given the two event rules. Dont let the Cats out and make sure your butts are in a can (being a non smoker that left me with only one rule). And boy did people arrive bike after bike, The dreaded double intros,"Hi my name is Chris, Stern12 on the site" Alway funny to get people reaction to screan names
some they knew some they didnt.
The rides where fun even with a few "minor problems"
the company was great, I even can say now that my bike has touched another country,even though one of our guys got strip searched at the boarder.
I can truly say this the best part of this trip was meeting some great people sharing a few beers laughing telling stories and just being part of a great time.
Thanks Pat for having us is it too soon to plan next years !!!!!

Benny and I made it back to CT OK. Of course we trailered, so we stayed quite dry(It was worth it, even though we were made fun of!). I hope everyone made it home as dry as possible. It was great meeting all of you. It's nice to be able to put faces to names.Pat and Jane are great hosts. Thank you for everything and that great food. This was my first rally and certainly not my last. Again, Many thanks to Pat.

Im glad he had it though it made red lights and stop signs much more fun I had a blast this weekend, it was great to see everybody and meet many friendly new faces.

You guys are making me feel sad. Sad I didn't come. Jealous, ok I'm mad. John [wojo] almost had me talked into going just a few nights before when I went to see him in his home town. Next year for sure.

All from NH are back safe..Thanks again for everything Pat/Jane...Great to meet everybody, and put faces to Screen/Real names...what a blast...well except the 5 hours of pouring rain in the NY thruway...but then it was a BA.Com rally...and what would that be without some rain!!

Well I made it home OK last night. It rained for the first 150 miles or so off and on, but my Frogg Toggs worked great. I only made it to Rte. 21 and it started raining, pulled off the road and put on the rain gear. I was stuck in Naples for at least a half hour in all the traffic for the event that was going on there, stop and go the whole way to the other end of the town, it didn't rain the whole time that I was inching along but as soon as I made it through town it started raining again, Go Figure. But all in all the ride was OK. My Bike on the other hand is filthy, I think I have had dirt bikes that were cleaner than it is. It will take me a day to clean it. How did everyone else make out? It was a good trip and I will be there next year, hopefully with a little better weather. Thanks everyone for a great time!

Sounds like some of us (ok YOU on the bikes) might have been drier if you had waited a bit? That front was fast mooving! Matt and I drove out of it, then stopped for lunch, it caught up, then we rode out of it, then it got us again at the gas stop, then we rode out of it again. It finally caught me as we docked in PJ, but again I rode out of it about 10 minutes later and my visor was just getting dry as I got home As soon as I saw dry roads I gave her a twist and bombed it home!!

As usual, I had an AWESOME time. And thanks for making my friend feel welcome, even if he had to bring propane to eat It was especially cool to have so many of the mods there!! Sorry some of the folks didn't feel too well some of the weekend, but it was great to put faces with names. I will read Ade's posts in a whole new light now!! Nice shirt by the way

Glad to see people checking in so we know you are all OK.

I couldn't miss this for the world, didn't have enough time off to ride; so I flew up on Thursday and came back today. I got to ride Pat's and Kenny's bikes a bit and for that I am eternally grateful. Pat and Jane are outstanding people and I cannot thank you two enough for your hospitality.

I got to meet people I have been wanting to and got to see my good friends again. The quality of the people at our rallies always astonishes me and the 06 NorEaster did not disappoint.

PS...

Things I learned at this rally:
Deep fried turkey is GOOOOOOD!!
Sit at least 15 ft away from Pat's bonfires.
The crap I got for trailering is worth it just to be there.
Pumpkin beer is good.
Checking and changing your valve shims is easy.... Once you find a replacement for the bit you break removing the cams.
Don't fart right BEFORE removing your rain gear. It's still in there and trying to break out.
When a Harley backfires like the 4th of July down the road and then dies, then you clap, it is funny. When that Herley comes BACK 10 minutes later, pulls a U-turn in front of the house JUST to show you it runs fine now, THAT is even funnier.

PPS: I got a "what year is that?" waiting for the ferry as I was mid-conversation with the guy who pulled up behind me on a Sprint and another guy with a Buell (that he had just gotten signed by Eric Buell himself yesterday).

Terry/Snert was still alive and well when we parted company in Dubois, Pa., so I'm hoping the last leg of his trip was uneventful.
We left about 9:45 this morning and skirted the back edge of that rainmaker while on 21 for just a few miles. After that it was a beautiful ride home except for the constant wind coming from every direction. We found out that neither of us can navigate or remember route numbers to save our lives - if it wasn't for Terry's photographic memory of crap in people's yards we might still be riding around western NY somewhere....!

I had a great time. This is one amazing group of people. Even Phil....

Now that I'm home, I sorta miss being called Grump...

It was Great! I had a Blast!

I decided to wait out the rain, and didn't get on the road
until 1pm. 8:30 pm my bike was back in my mom's garage, safe
and sound.

The only incident on my way home was getting a ticket for
74 in a 55 zone on rt20. The cop said I was doing 87 when I
blew by him, but would write it up for the 74mph I leveled
off at when he got behind me. Oh well, I was happy to take
the ticket and not get searched! The money I saved on a hotel
by camping out will more than cover the ticket.

I had a great time seeing the members I had already met, and
meeting all the others for the first time.

Once again, kudos to Pat and Jane!

Strip searched? And Yota wasn't there to get in on the fun?

Haven't read through everything yet. I trust everyone is home safe. I rode through one hell of a rain storm. Me and Noah's Ark were neck and neck from just past Rochester all the way to Buffalo. I hope the long haulers had, or are having, better weather.

I had a blast and am looking forward to next year. And next time, I'm bringing the band.

Thank-you ALL for making me feel welcome. The TBS did fine on the rain home- I mean ride home- It meant a lot to me to see more than ONE Triumph at a time (I swear there are NO others in Cooperstown!)
The tech day was interesting too- even though my triple isd different I learned a lot of basics- I won't be so reluctant to dive into mine...engine that is!!

Pat's brother- kudos on the food- that was all greally good.

Hope to see you guys again- and thanks again!

I thought about stopping in at Pat's one more time as I rolled out at 8 am in the wind and rain. The open garage door looked very inviting but I thought if I stopped only 5 minutes into my ride that it would be only the first excuse of many to pull out of the rain for a bit. I went down 21 before the festival set up and got out in front of the steady rain somewhere after my first gas stop.

I hit the Maryland line to sunshine and 80 degrees, took off some layers, fired up a cigar and enjoyed lazy back roads for the last hour. As it was, it took about 6 hours to make the 300 miles home.

The Vermont crew didn't have a fun trip. Russ' green America died after 5 hours in the rain near Saratoga. None of the usual solutions worked so his roomie Matt Harley'd home, picked up his pickup, rescued Russ and they made it home around 9 last night.

Thanks again to Pat and his support crew in Canandaigua. Can't wait to do it again next year.

Hey Pat and Jane, thanks for one fantastic Rally!! It was my first one but for sure not the last. Meeting everyone was great, although I'm sorry but there was just too many people to remember everyone's name. Not to bring up a sore subject but hopefully everyone will get to ride the Glenn with me next year! Glad there was no serious problems and at the moment it seems everyone got home safe. I left at 9 with Pete, Greg, and I think Ken. We all got pretty soaked in the terenial down pour. All in all the ride home was adventurous. I made it back to State College by 2. Thanks again. Oh, learning how to do the valve job was great also. Take care everyone and I'll be popping in with my 2 cents worth every now and then. Scott

We saw the VT crew pass us when we pulled in for the first gas stop. Figured we would catch up or pass you again but no such luck. Wish we had known we might have been able to help in some way.
Thanks again Pat and the NY crew for such a great time and wonderful food. Very few people would open up their home for 60 people who they had only met on the net. But you did and it was great. Cant wait for next year.

I'm home and all is well. In fact I just got out of bed at 11:00. Today is a day of rest and try to get the dirt off the bike.
Krashdragon and I got on the road about 10 am at Pat's. First part of 90 west was a little wet then blue skys, clouds, and one h@ll of a cross wind. Had to drop it down to 65 to stay on the road.
I know the speed limit is 65 but why were the trucks passing me like I was standing still?

Rain suits gone about 60 miles from Pat's.

Got a little wet in PA on I90 then mostly clear. Rain suit never came back on until 30 miles from Indy.
Krashdragon(mary)got off at Medina, OH off I271, so. of Cleveland. She should have gotten home a little after 4 pm.

I continued on south on I71 to Columbus then west on I70 to Indy.
I rolled in at 10pm last night Exactly 12 hours in the saddle with 5 gas and butt stops.
I just totalled up the miles for the whole weekend and I put 1380 on my bike this weekend.
Had a great time, meeting new friends and recognizing old ones from the GA rally.
Thanks Jane and Pat for opening your home to all of us and your brother is a great cook.
Hope to see everyone again. Time to clean the NY dirt from my bike.

No, THANK YOU to everyone for making the rally such a success. I hope everyone had as much fun as Jane and I had. I know the yutes sure did.
It was a treat to put more faces to names and just hang with youz guys.
Sorry some of you missed the beer, it started at 35 gallons and we got right into it Wednesday afternoon. They were dead soldiers by Friday afternoon and we had to resort to beer runs to Wegmans. Still, if anyone was thristy, it was their own fault.
Glad to hear everyone so far has made it home safely, scept for VTscallywag, I spkoe with him this morning and he did get home safely. Something with his ignitor/plugs/coil went bad and he had no tools to try anything. He had no spark. This is starting to seem very familar with the Triumphs of old???
So, now for the big cleanup. We rested all day yesterday, cleaned up the yard mess and I will tackle the carpets tonight after work. Hey, it's just mud after all.

The rides were fun, the food was great, the beer was cold (and we didn't even need ice this time of year)
The company was wonderful and there were no problems other than the few issolated things, no serious issues at all. No hospitals, no police telling us to ne quiet, no arrests, no felonies commited (that I saw) and the weather wasn't actually that bad.
Same time next year, same bat channel.

Also, for those that care, (we all do) Chy just PM'd me, he's home safe and sound, and tired.

The first member of the Southern Ridin' Crew that didn't fly home is home! 92 degrees and bright sun welcomed me to Florida around 12pm. Yuck. Off goes the leather.

Yesterday, Chy, Gordon (the strip searched one) and your's truly left Pat's around 6:30AM with no wonderful host or hostess around. Well deserved rest indeed. Chy and Gordon went right towards the West as I rolled down lovely 21 once again. Egads, we all three got lost and were reunited just short of I-86. I have no idea how this happened. It seemed like a dream. Departing again, I turned toward Corning and found Grump and Snert's gusty winds. After a quick stop in Gettysburg, I found rain just short of the Capital Beltway in DC. I always seem to find rain in crowded metropolitan areas . Leaving DC and a nasty traffic jam behind I found myself in Fayetteville, NC at around 9pm last evening. That's right campers, 600+ miles of nearly all slab. Whew. I awoke at 5:30AM and was back in the saddle around 6:30AM. A lovely ride through South Carolina gave way to searing heat and Moe's dreaded love bugs in Georgia and Florida. At around 2:45pm, I turned off I-95 and into Port Orange, FL. I needed one last gas stop and a bit of Gatorade and found both at my neighborhood Shell station. I was a bit shocked when I discovered the bald English lad working the register named "Adrian". Didn't know that Hardley was so fast Ade!

Thanks to Pat and Jane for such a great time. To all my friends from the site new and old, I appreciate each one of you and cherish our association. I'll see y'all next time. 3,000+ miles on the fast blue one in a week. Now, where are the other members of the Southern Ridin' Crew!?

Well...The Wild Turkey did me in. Or maybe it was all the Tullamore Dew I washed it down with. Or...wait, hold on, maybe it was Jim and Lynn's Champagne that I washed THAT down with. Or...I'm trying to think here...maybe it was Pat's Barleywine, or the Blue Moon, or the Stella...well...whatever, We were washin down a LOT of stuff with a lot of OTHER stuff. So, in otherwords, I'm pretty sure I had a damn good time.
