You are being taken for a ride. Nowhere does it state the tank is only warranted for a year. It IS an integral part of the bike after all! 2 hours? I could have a tank (with all parts) swapped out in about 30 minutes and that's taking a two beer break.
There is no fuel pump. These bikes are gravity feed fuel delivery.
I would call Triumph and tell them what you told us. Sounds darn near unscrupulous.
