The worste thing I have done is forgetting to connect the fule line back to the petcock.
So I was siting at the light at the end of my street, realized , I forgot to turn the petcock on....when I did, the guy next to me started honking his horn and yelling at me that my bike was pouring out gas.
I felt like quite the fool.
