Let's see, the tank is about half full (63 miles on odometer), strong smell of gas when the #1 cylinder decides to quit firing....Bike dropped off at 1:00 this afternoon, started and ran fine

When I had a strong odor of gas, and one cylinder running/not running it was a stuck float. At low throttle, gas would flood the one cylinder causing it to stall on one side. After shut down and sitting, the float being stuck for a while would cause gas to flow back into the airbox and pool, thus the gas smell. At acceleration and full throttle, it ran fine because it was burning the gas. I hadn't done anything to cause it. And a whack on the side of the carb fixed it.

Anyway, hope you get it worked out.
