Had the same thing and the only question I have is if you have re-routed your cables due to new handlebars. If you run them under your tank, turning the bike hard to the left will eventually loosen and disconnect your ignition wires. I did this. The EXACT same results. I towed it in to a shop, they pulled the tank off and found the wire un-plugged. Plugged it in and it was fine. Cost me $50 for being an idiot. Happy to pay it with the knowledge it was nothing mechanical.
