Sounds like some positive changes. The 865cc enigine is a step in the right direction. I'm still at a loss why these bikes don't come standard with a belt drive. Triumph's understanding of the the American market seems to be myopic at best. I've ask some of these questions in the past and they usually answer with the standard "We're selling all the bikes we make so why change" There is something to be said for that but I think long term people we'll get frustrated and won't comeback. I would have to think long and hard about buying another TBA. Don't get me wrong, I love my bike but I'd like a bike I can ride without maintaining a chain and messing with the carbs. Personnelly I'd love to see the next generation America with fuel injection and belt drive.
