A while back I put in the JC Whitney driving lights, and thought it was pretty cool that the lights came with about a foot of aluminized flexible conduit for the wires. Unfortunately, a foot is not quite enough to reach into the back of the headlight housing where the wires join in with the low-beam wiring, so you have a jumble of multi-colored wires in plain view when you turn the handlebars to the right. Well, I finally found what I wanted, the OEM supplier for the stuff that came with the light. They have this stuff in multiple sizes, so I ordered some to remedy the driving light problem, as well as dress up that big hunk of wiring harness (covered in electrical tape) that stretches between the steering yoke and gas tank. I should have it installed by next weekend, and will post photos, but here is a sample pic from the website, and the link to order it, if interested. http://cableorganizer.com/convoshield/

Hiya Greg You can't have too much bling on a bike .. and I think it particularly suits the blue bike! Just installed the chrome foot control bars and I'm running out of chrome stuff to install .. List so far? chrome silencers (short), light bar, sprocket cover, rear footrest hangers, chain guard, lifter arm cover, number plate bracket, seat rail, seat rack ... Just looked at the Triumph accessories list and there's still a few to go .. The parts guy at the dealer always smiles when I go in because it usually means I'm getting the credit card out! The last visit I said 'until the next time .. this is the last thing I'm buying for that bike..' The fact stuff arrives quickly is part of the problem .. I can't wait for stuff. Foot control bars ordered late Thursday - arrived and fitted Saturday! A mate says 'chrome don't get you home' .. what does he know, he rides a Harl*y!!

Ha! I can't believe you posted this. Three days ago I was researching the exact same stuff on the exact same site for the exact same reason. I want to cover up all the wiring on the bike. This appeared to be a pretty good way to do it.
I was planning on ordering this week now that I've figured out what sizes I need. They claim it can "withstand 1000°F radiant heat for one hour without distortion when placed 1 inch away from a heat source." I would think this would be okay on a bike.

I tend to ride it a little hard from time to time... Actually, there was a little subtle sarcasm in my statement, but I don't think it comes through much now that I re-read it.

That would even hold up a day or two in Yuma during the summer.

Does that stuff go right over your existing wires? Is it split down the center or what? I just want to put it over my handle bar wiring and want to know if it just slips over the wires or what.

I think there is a break/seam that runs down the middle. I don't think you have to stuff your wires into it the hard way. I haven't got it yet, however, so I can't confirm anything.

Conveniently, Bentley Harris sleeving is slit lengthwise for easy installation.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Hey Phil, looks OK, I'm happy with it, particularly the larger diameter stuff that I used to cover the big section of wiring that runs from under the tank to the headlamp housing. That definitely looks good, I'll snap a photo and post it today. The smaller stuff is bigger than our steel stuff that came with the JCW lights, but it does cover up the multicolored wires that run to the headlamp so is an improvement, even if it isn't the same. It's definitely better than the price they want (and the work involved) for the unslit steel tubing... Once you turn it to hide the slit, it looks pretty good I think.

That really is a nice touch. Looks fantastic. What size(s) should be purchased? Is the stuff pretty stable when it's installed? I am thinking this is worth the little bit of effort that it will take to give the bike a much more finished look.
Ride On!

Airguy, the 5/8" inside diameter stuff is for the main harness, and then 3/8" for most of the smaller runs of wiring. Yep, once it's on, it's on. I may look at some 1/4" for some of the other stuff, still debating, dont' want to go overboard...

How much of this stuff does it take to do a bike? How much 5/8", 3/8" and 1/4" did you guys use? I want to order close to the right amount (and not go too far overboard).

I just ordered up 1 length of the 3/8 and 5/8, about 39" per length I believe, and that was enough for now. But if you go haywire covering everything, a couple lengths of each would probably do it.

The stuff from the parts stores is very thin plastic and the chrome flakes when you cut it to length.
Is your stuff the same or is it any thicker and sturdier?

seems pretty stout, like the stuff we use on our Sensor applications. I squished some of it to fit up under the center console, and nothing flaked off yet...
And none of it flakes when I cut it.
