I know there was an ad for it in this month's Road Bike. With all of the builders on their bikes. It was a head on shot, the speedy looked like it had blacked out fork tubes and exhaust. The headlight looked different and there was no speedo but other than that couldnt make out much.

Last I heard it was supposed to debut around the same time as Las Vegas BikeFest, which is this weekend. But that was a few months ago, and I don't know how reliable that info was/is. From what I recall, all the builders are meeting in Vegas with their bikes, and they'll have the voting. When it will be on TV I have no idea.

I thought I saw somewhere on the web site that it will air in October or November.

I was looking on the metrictv website and they have events planned thru the end of october. Their photo gallery is packed with pics - mostly hooters girls and a few bikes but no speedy. Why don't we ask Moonshine?

Looks like from the Vegas BikeFest site, the build-off will be starting 2 hours from now on Fremont Street.

Btw, from posts on Metric TV, and one by Jojje on another forum, it looks like the Speedmaster he used got the turbo treatment.

The Triumph RAT website has a link to a story of a 22yr old that is competing in this and he built a bike around a Rocket III motor. Here is the link.

I still can't figure out what network it's suppose to be on and when.

Looks like another builder is also using a Rocket III, Mike Dusold.

It's right at the bottom of the article...

"For more information about Lil' Ray or the show, go to www.rayneff.com or www.metrictv.com."

But you go to the Metric TV website, and there isn't any info about what network it'll be on, or when.

Found another Triumph builder, Mike Stafford.

Well I came across a pic of the Speedmaster. Here she is:

Now I know this bike probably will get some negative comments in here. There sure isn't much Speedmaster left on that bike. A lot of us like our Speedmasters and Americas because they handle well through the curves, and certainly this bike wouldn't. But that's the way these show bikes are built nowadays...long and stretched out. Myself, I don't understand the appeal of these bikes that are impractical, but obvioulsy they're a lot of people out there that like them otherwise they wouldn't build them.

isn't it?

That was the 'easy' way of putting the shifter on the correct side

I'd like to see more pics of this bike.
Not what I got in the works but interesting.
With the engine reversed, the main sprocket would
run backwards.
I can't wait to see what he did to resolve this.

There's a few more pics here. Nothing really that more revealing than what I posted.

That looks WICKED! I don't think I'd want to ride it but what a piece of sculpture. I'd like to have it in the corner of my living room.

The important thing is that it is a Triumph motor. I dont think anything else on it is Triumph, but it is most modern style chopper I have ever seen with a Triumph motor. In that style of chopper, I have to say that it is very well done.

That gives the intake a ram effect. Shame you can't do that the old twin way by simply reversing the head and barrels.

Being that it runs a blower, it wouldn't need rammed air.
