And the carb vacuum line too? Don't they use that to charge the compressor?
Nope, it's all electric. The air pressure is generated when you hit the horn. There is a delay just long enough that if you tap the button very quickly the sound produced is about equal to a regular horn. If you hold it at all it is LOUD.
As for being ugly, well yeah, it's not pretty but so far no one has noticed it unless I honk it. Tucked up where it is, and being mostly flat black and non-shiny metal, it's pretty unobtrusive unless it is used. Being out in the open also allows it to be louder. The sound vibrations are emparted to the air rather than the body of the motorcycle. Putting it under the seat would muffle the sound significantly and much of the energy produced would be used making the seat vibrate. While that may appeal to some, the horn would still attract a lot of attention
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
