The idea of a bike that resembles the America/Speedie in a 14 to 1500 CC powerplant with all the extra ju ju juice and torque definitely makes me salivate.
Said bike would be a big move for Triumph as far as competing with Yamahammer, Honda, and Kawasaki in particular in the metric cruiser category. Triumph simply has nothing in the class except the America/Speedie and the next available bike at 16K is the monstrously ugly albeit well performing Rocket.
Triumph needs a bike that is "good looking" while offerinng more power in a cruiser than the 790/865 can offer.
I'd need to wait and see what it looks like but at that time if the appeal is there the need to pick one up will be powerful even if it means losing the speedmaster.
