As my son and I where riding today the topic of the Batmobile came up Im Firm beliver that the one from the 60s TV show was the coolest he thinks the one from the last movie was. Now I know this topic means nothing but I need to know which Batmobile was the best???

The original from the 60s would get my vote.

There is only one Batmobile, and Adam West drove it! The 60s! The rest are wannabes.

I love the George Barris one, but, the one in Batman Begins looks way too fun to have, so I might have to go with that one.

The original!! I have a picture of me somewhere actually sitting in it when I was like 6 or 7 years old (it was at a Supermarket opening.) That was one of the coolest things I ever did as a kid. Neat topic

Original one from 60's, but I think those of us that feel the same are dating ourselves.

The first one for sure! Even if it did have terrible brakes. But, if you want a real super hero car, it's hard to beet the Green Hornets hotrod Imperial named Black beauty.

Adey, She looks great! But......... I'll say it again: She needs the correct Rallye wheels, with the "R" center cap.
Pat, I agree, the George Barris original RULES! BTW, I took my bike out for a spin into Westchester Co. NY this afternoon, it was all I could do to turn it around, and not head your way!

Barris was probably responsible for the Balck Beauty, but it isnt near as cool as the 60's Batmobile. Not even close. The jet turbine is way too far out!

If I'm not mistaken, George Barris did that one as well. Also the "MonkeeMobile"(custom GTO), and other cool 60's cars.

Alright, if it's not gonna be the Rallye's, then the CRAGER S/S is the only way to go.

Original Batmobile from the 60s is the only real batmobile. Look at the front of the Batmobile and the front of a '57 Dodge. I heard that the original Batmobile was built from "The car of the future" at some World's Fair or something that was a modified '57 Dodge.

I agree the original Batmobile rules, I can still remember them saying: " Tune in next time Same Bat Time Same Bat Channel" I don't care if I date myself, It was great to live when these classics were on every week.

Original Batmobile? That schlock show from the 60's? How can that be the best Batmobile when that wasn't the best Batman? I loved that show... when I was 6 years old. It's not even good as a cartoon anymore. I agree with Chris, the Tumbler from Batman Begins is the shiznitty.

Aerodynamicly incorrect! That thing LOOKS like something that would roll out of the back hills of Afganistan! IF I was THE BATMAN I would say "It ain't got guano on the REAL deal!"

This one is the best by far. How can anything else even compete? The owner will even sell it, as long as you're willing to part with $50k. lol

I like the original Batmobile, but I suppose the latest movie version would be a hit with the 10-11 year olds of today.
As far as old TV series iconic cars go, I'd have to vote for Maxwell Smart's red Sunbeam Tiger.

Don't tell me Derek worked a "Get Smart" reference into this "Batmobile" thread.
(Derek worked a "Get Smart" reference into this "Batmobile" thread, Dwight!)
I ASKED you NOT to TELL me THAT!
(Sorry 'bout that, Chief) ________
ALRIGHT! Yeah! I'm "old school". I still like the George Barris '60s Batmobile.(yeah...the show was kind'a dumb)
The others: One has "fin-envy"...a product, evidently, from going up in the shadow of a '59 Caddy Coupe de Ville....
One, which has that big jet intake opening, looks too much like the '60s World Land Speed record holder, "The Green Monster"....
AND the latest one which looks like a Humvee after it that took a wrong turn on some Baghdad street.(Talk about your "post-apocalyptic" design)
Cheers, Dwight
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Ahhh!
Thanks Derek, Finally a voice of reason. Maxwell Smart vs the Penguin, the Joker? Those poor, overmatched villians would have been confused and mystified. Game over.
FJ; Whattyamean "schlock show?" Everything I needed to know as a gradeschooler I learned from Batman (or was it Catwoman?)
