Of course you have to run tubes, but the Metzler stock tires on the Speedmasters are real sweet. Sure footed on all pavement - wet, grooved, whatever.
Got 12k on my first rear, and I've got that almost again on the second but it looks okay yet. Got 20k out of the front. There is nothing else I would consider.
