Several people have commented on different seats and how uncomfortable they are on long runs.

You may be interested in this site, it is not the normal jel seat
I know several people that have this seat covered pad.
no complaints, the wife sits on one or both riders. The America would take the large .
you be the judge, contact them ,they will answer your questions.

Alaska Leather

It's a sheepskin cover.

Hey Guys,
If some of you haven't heard of us before, my wife and I make and sell tailormade sheepskin seat covers to suit a large range of bikes. I own and ride a 2001 Triumph Trophy 1200 daily in ALL weather conditions and the sheepskin is absolutely magic. I have sold a few to members of this and other Triumph sites and all have been well received. Our compnay is called 'Cruis'n Comfort' motorcycle sheepskins and we are based near Melbourne AUSTRALIA. We do mail order to most places and although we don't yet have our website completed any enquiries will be attended to quickly. I'm able to send pics of our product if asked for.

My email for contact is pooksta7@tpg.com.au or reply via this forum. Prices are AUD$170.00 including post to the USA, Canada and Europe. A full 12 month guarantee is supplied against faulty workmanship and or materials. The skins are 100% 1st grade Aussie Sheepskins and are excellent quality.

Ride Safe,

Lee.

Lee,

You should post your post in the Vendors category.

BTW... do you know whn you might have one that will fit over the Triumph touring seat for the Speedmaster/America?

My wife & I both give 2 thumbs up to Alaska Leather sheepskins. They improve the ride and were sent from Alaska to NJ in a few short days.

I bought a cover from Alaska leather. I was skeptical at first but the sheepskin makes a difference. keeps my butt from sticking to the leather seat. I know more info than you wanted to hear, sorry!

I've an easy answer.

I never have a problem with a sore rear on a long ride...

But I have plenty of natural padding that I carry everywhere....

I was gonna write put some weight on....but that will only work for the female members. For some reason men never have big arses....

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....

Steve, what size did you buy, the medium? I sent them an inquiry, because they have a pic of a speedmaster with a sheepskin cover, but they haven't answered yet.

thanks!

Michael,
That picture on the Alaska Leather site is of my bike. The cover is a large rally special. It fit the stock seat perfectly. It worked pretty well, but the stock seat just didn't work for me. I got a Corbin gunfighter with a backrest. I still use the sheepskin pad when I do a really long ride and it helps. I would recommend the extra large with the Corbin.

I really appreciated the fast response to my order but.....they NEVER answered my question about the proper pad to buy for my BA. I asked on the website, and in my paypal.

yeah, I still haven't gotten a response from them either. I have no problems relying on forum feedback, rather than what they might try to tell me I "need". It's all good.
