The good side may be due to the differences in the carbs/valves and pressure on that particular side. Most likely due to the variences in the carbs. Many folks end up with different numbers of turns on each carb, I do, because of these small differences. It is very common. The two turns out is just a starting reference point.
The differences in the carbs are due to casting differences, vacuum, diaphram elasticity, float levels etc. The carbs are not identical when it comes to these minute differences.
