They have a large AMA sanctioned hillclimb down the road a bit from me eash year. I had to work and missed it this year but it is very cool.
Poag's Hole Hillclimb The bikes are really cool and many run just one gear and burn jet fuel or nitrous. They put them up on milk crates to start them with the little spinner machines and drop the rearend down and off they go, faster then all get out.
The Triumphs usually dominate the winners too. Most of the guys are also as old if not older than me. That was surprising to see. But what a blast they are to watch in person, and loud!!!
