I hosed the forks uinder the cover steel tubes with WD-40 until it ran all over the fender and forks. That helped a lot. Then I rode for a bit through the rain Monday. Now by Friday the forks squeak so loudly I am going insane. What is going on? I have a Speedy with the stainless steel fork tube covers. I am about to rip them off and coat everything with vaseline. Or else turn the bike upside down with my winch and pour a pint of oil under each fork cover.
