just a note to memphis fats/slims users. If you want or need to replace your windshield you can buy JUST the plastic for much less than the original screen cost. it's not a big deal to swap the hardware onto the new one. I got a 21" fats on ebay for $50.

Thanks for the info. I bought a 17 inch shield and really need a 15 inch. I prefer to be able to see over the windshield at times, especially in rain. I've considered getting it cut down but don't know if I want to go that route, and have considered trading it on this site for a 15 inch. I would need the headlight cut out some, and maybe the top of the shield, too. The way the speedo sits, the windshield can only come down so far before it hits the nuts on the inside of the windshield brackets. 15 inch is a stubby looking windshield so next time I will know better which style to get.

Let me make a couple of suggestions: 1) If you get the headlight cutout extended up 2 inches (a good plastic shop charged me $20), you can have the acorn nut BELOW the rim of the speedo so there's no collision. Doing this also gives you a bit more screen down below which reduces buffeting.
2) I'm 5'10-ish and I see easily over top of a 19" with the headlight cutout extended up 2". Maybe you can do some more adjustment of your 15" even without cutting it so you can see over it? There's a surprising amount of ability to move the screen around on the brackets to lean it back and so on. Give it a try.

17 inch what? I go to "Memphis Shades" and there are too many to choose from, I have no idea as to which one to order. I called Memphis shades, and was told very rudely that "we don't carry anything for that bike". Any pointers for an aftermarket "fats" / roadster wide screen for my bike would be appreciated.....the Triumph screen is rediculously expensive....

Hey Doc! They don't list one for our bikes, but the Suzuki Marauder Hardware fits our bikes according to some here that have bought it. I just sold one to a one of the members here and if it doesn't work, I am sure I am going to hear about it. I can also get these replacement screens. I am as we speak setting up my website with the information for these very screens. Been working on it the past couple of days, may be on line today once I get the bugs worked out. You can go take a look, but it is "Non functional" at the moment. Fast eddy Sports parts eddy

When it gets in (and on) I will post pictures. Everyone was pretty clear about the Suzuki hardware. If not, well thats what they make hammers for... Jason "bend to fit" Haynes
