i just installed a oil temp guage where the oil cap refill would be. I don't know how accurate this would be, but what would the reading be for normal conditions. Just trying to see if this indeed is accurate. thanks guys, doug

I run around 200. Your results may vary.... The real benefit of it is knowing a relative temp. If you know you run around 200 normally, and all of a sudden you check it at a light and it is 250, you know you should stop.

Depends on the air temp also. I usually run about 175ºF but have gotten to 200ºF in very hot weather in slower traffic.

Mine stays at about 190 to 195 in Florida heat on interstate. When it climbs in traffic, I turn right or something. Like the ads say, "go your own way".
