Just got back from a 5 day bike trip to Sweden & Denmark from the UK with the wife. 1800 miles of great scenery, brilliant weather, apart from on the way back through Germany when the heavens opened & I thought we would need to start paddling, ...........there was that much rain the bike was creating a wake which was coming up over my boots

Met some great people, apart from Harley riders in Sweden!...who don't seem to want to wave or talk to Triumph Rocket riders I even managed to wave to a Swedish bike cop .. strangely, he didn't wave back

The best of all was meeting another Triumph rider in Copenhagen, top man, great host, great company & great bike ... I have always said, & it is very true... "you meet the nicest people on a Triumph

My wife even managed to wave to 30 German back patch bikers who had been held at the Danish border & who then turned up at the next fuel stop where we were having a coffee & a smoke ...

I have posted some of the pictures on the following link:

Apart from our host in Denmark the only other Triumph I met was another black Rocket on the German motorway coming back on Sunday & I had to teach him how to filter through the traffic jam! but there again I was a despatch rider for 5 years

Good to hear you had a great time.

By the way, thanks for rubbing it in by calling me from 'a log cabin in the middle of Sweden' ... yeah, nice that

Have you told Megan about the camper yet???

NO CHANCE, she'll kick my a$$!

How fast can she run?

Don't answer, it'll still be faster than me!

If it's any concellation, the couple that bought it were really nice people.
He even drove me back home from Nuneaton after I delivered it to 'em.

Any luck yet on finding a Beetle for her?

Glad to hear you both had a great trip. Some nice photos - looks like a beautiful part of the world to visit. Looks like Ystad's beach certainly tops Seaton Carew's anyways!
How's Jackie getting on with her rider training BTW? Mandy's really keen to learn but we're not sure which route to take - whether to enrole on a CBT course and buy a learner bike so she can get some practise in leading up to her test, or try one of these intensive all inclusive courses...

Hi Dave

It is a beautiful place & great biking roads..

Jackie is loving it & she is going to put in for her direct access in a couple of months. I think it is roundabouts & swings which route you go but at least she is getting out on her bike and getting experience. She is then going to go back & get an assesement to see how many days course she will need.

Seaton Carew! Brr..that brings back memories of cold days walking on the beach in winter
