That's all I ask.
Let me know when you get it. We'll ride together, and I'll show you first hand the difference these simple performance mods make. You'll be amazed, I was.
You are fortunate that you found this site before you even got your bike. I only found it less than a year ago, and I have an '03. I'm finally getting mine the way I want it, in terms of looks, performance, and comfort. Man, do I wish I found this place earlier!

Hey guys,
Add me to the list of new owners and a CT one at that. I'd be up for a ride most anytime. I'm just down the road from Charlie in Westport.

Down the road? You're right next door! Tell us about your bike. Where'd ya get it? Have you considered the NorEast Rally? We must get together and ride when the rain stops.

It's a silver/graphite TBA. Got it from Libby's in New Haven (seem like good folk). It's my first real bike (I don't count the Rebel). Learned how to ride this summer and am loving it. The wife bought a Harley so I need to give this puppy a bit more power. It feels great though.
I'll have to find out about the NorEast. I'd love to do it. Where in Norwalk Charlie? I'm right off exit 42.

I guess you mean exit 42 off the parkway. I keep my bike in my mom's garage 3 blocks from exit 38. I have a nice shop with: compressor, air tools, grinder, drill press, Sears bike jack, hydraulic lift, and lots of hand tools. If you need a place to do service, or need help or advice, I'm sure we can work together, and help each other out.
I live on my houseboat 4 blocks from exit 16 I95, with a view of the Yankee Doodle Bridge between exits 15&16.
I know some nice places to ride. Let's hook up, Uncle Charlie

onei, I saw a silver america with a sold sign on it at canton cycles on wed. was that yours? I would have thought someone would have said something about this big change when I was talking to them. I guess I better not wait until winter to get my warranty work done. mike

Like was said b4 just ride, you may want to wait till next spring b4 addressing personalizing your TBA.
or you might want to ride until the first snow fall, and while we have sand, salt, ice and crud all over the road "make it your own." then come the season to be merry and rolling your scoot won't be on a lift somewhere awaiting parts.

Thanks Charlie. Let's do it. I'll be out of touch for the weekend, but maybe we can work in a short ride next week.

Perhaps an after work ride to the reservoir? Believe it or not, I've never been there. I usually go up through New Canaan into NY, for short rides.
It looks like this weekend is gonna be a wash-out.
Keep in touch, Uncle Charlie

Thanks. That's what I wanted to hear. But she's got a 1200 Snortster so this might take some work. Needless to say, this situation is unacceptable.

Had the bike a week now, just hit 300 miles now will sombody tell me where the hell is 6th gear?
Now for a serious question...i plan to remove AI as sugjested right after 600 mile service. Can I expect any other benifit form this besides preventing "Blue pipe syndrome"?

Put an 18T sprocket on too!! One GREAT benefit of the AI removal is what someone else said, it is like tinkering 101. The beginners course. You have to take off the seat and tank, and before you know it you'll be doing that in 5 minutes.
